This research is devoted to the study of Christopher Vogler's screenwriting theory in one of the oldest literary texts in history, the epic of Gilgamesh. Christopher Vogler's travel theory, apart from how much it depends on the Aristotelian drama, is the shaper of the renowned narrative method in fiction cinema. The theoretical framework of this research is based on the model of the theoretician. The core purpose of this article is to investigate, recognize, and explain the characteristics of the cinematic narration method in the Gilgamesh saga. The research question is, what are the typical features, and what are the differences in the way of narrating the epic of Gilgamesh according to the travel theory of Christopher Vogler? The research approach was qualitative, and the research method was a combination of comparative, descriptive, and analytical methods. The information has been gathered using the library research method. The research findings show that there are commonalities and distinctions in the narrative structure of GilGomesh's saga based on the adaptation of Christopher Vogler's travel model, and it can be adapted based on the use of the three-act narrative method. The research findings conclude that since the style of narration in Christopher Vogler's model is based on focusing on the character and its transformation, it is a character-centered model. Based on this, GilGamesh's epic is also based on the character-centered narrative structure and focuses on the arc of character transformation.
