Abstract
This study intends to do a Comparative Study on Narrative Actants in The Pilgrim play of H.Amjad and Catcher in the Rye novel by J.D.Salinger. Theoretical approach derived from the ideas of structuralists and by focusing On Greimas's actuarial model will provide the Ability of analyze the function of these actants in the narrative structure of two mentioned art works. This model, based on the concept of action and defining narrative Actants will Analyze the structure of the main narrative of each story and through this method Try to explain the internal concepts and function of The existing actions and The deep structure of the story. The research method is descriptive-analytical and the information required to measure samples is Obtained In the library Method and examining the text. The research findings show that despite the many differences that can be seen in the plot’s components of both works (from Social, geographical, and historical status to different genders of literature); the model of using narrative actors shows the similarities between these two literary texts.
